Help with Taskbar’s setup

What setup asks for

1. Accessibility Required

   This is how macOS lets an app list your windows and switch between them. Click Accessibility Settings, find Taskbar in the list and switch it on. macOS may ask for your password or Touch ID. The status turns green within a few seconds.

2. Screen Recording Optional

   Only used for window thumbnails, which are off by default, so this starts as “Not Needed” and you can leave it that way. If you want thumbnails, click Enable Thumbnails, then Screen Recording Settings, and switch Taskbar on. No screen capture data is saved.

3. Dock Required

   So the Dock and Taskbar don’t both sit at the bottom of the screen, click Auto-Hide To The Left or Auto-Hide To The Right. The Dock moves to that side and stays hidden until you need it. Once setup is done, you can hide the Dock completely from Taskbar’s preferences, or change it back in System Settings.

4. Version 1 validity

   Shows “Valid” while version 1 is free, until 19 December 2026. If it says “Invalid”, click Check For Updates.

5. End-User License Agreement Required

   Click View In Browser to read it, then Accept.

6. Crash reports Optional

   Off by default. If you click Enable, a report with anonymous data is sent when Taskbar crashes, so the crash can be fixed.

When everything required shows green, click Done. Closing the setup window instead quits Taskbar.
